Rich McCor, better known as @paperboyo, became an overnight Instagram sensation after setting out one day in 2015 to photograph his local London landscape, but a little differently. Armed with only some paper cut-outs, the resulting photograph–Big Ben transformed into a wristwatch–was the first of many playful vignettes that have taken social media by storm.

Around the World in Cut Outs is Rich’s first book, full to the brim with his most well-known and much-loved photographs alongside exclusive unseen images commissioned for the book. Accompanied by fascinating, whimsical and humorous captions, this stunning collection takes you on a globe-trotting tour of the world’s famous landmarks and injects a bit of fun into the everyday. It includes images from Las Vegas, San Francisco, Italy, France, China, Singapore, and Stockholm. The book sees transformations both big and small, a behind-the-scenes look at how Rich works, and what happens when an idea doesn’t quite fit. An interactive section filled with cut-out stencils designed by Rich is the chance to explore the world in your own unique way, one cut-out at a time.

Around the World in Cut-Outs will be published on 5 October 2017 by Century, an imprint of Cornerstone, a Penguin Random House company.
