Learn aviation photography from the best at IWM Duxford on Friday 15 June

The Imperial War Museum Duxford will be hosting a Royal Air Force Photography day, guided by leading professional aviation photographer Darren Harbar on Friday 15 June 2018.

The day is specially designed for entry level photographers, but will also cater for enthusiasts who wish to improve their skills. Starting with an introductory tutorial on camera functions and key settings, including some useful tips and tricks, attendees take part in a practical indoor exercise using a static object, before going out onto the airfield for the exclusive photo opportunity with the Mark I Supermarine Spitfire.

in addition to learning how to move away from auto mode and get the best out of your camera, it gives you the opportunity to get up close to IWM’s rare Mark I Supermarine Spitfire to photograph it on the historic airfield from which it took off over 75 years ago.

The day costs £155, runs from 09:00 to approximately 16:00, and includes refreshments and lunch. If you can’t make Friday 15 June, there is a USAF Photography Day on Friday 31 August and another RAF Photography Day on 7 September 2018.
