20 Images that Show why Yellowstone Should be on Your Bucket List

Photography Talk

Every year, thousands of wildlife and landscape photographers from around the world flock to the northwestern corner of Wyoming, USA. Why? To take advantage of a plethora of truly unique photo opportunities, all found in one incredible location. You don't have to be well-traveled or well-read to know that we're talking about Yellowstone National Park.

I could write for days about the reasons, but as we all know, a picture is worth a thousand words, so I'll just save typing a few thousand here and show you some awesome images that tell the whole story.iStock 000064889335 Medium

Winter in Yellowstone is like nowhere else in the world. Snowfall that's measured in feet, rivers warmed by natural hot springs and rare wildlife all make for a little slice of heaven on Earth for photographers.

If the landscape isn't enough to convince you, let's not forget the wildlife! This is one of the best places in the world to find that once-in-a-lifetime shot of some of the most majestic creatures on the planet:

Now, it's worth saying that not everyone that visits Yellowstone ends up with spectacular images like these. Although the park offers more potential for incredible photos than most locations, getting the ultimate shots is more than just a matter of luck.

Unless you're not only an expert photographer, but also extremely well-versed in the ways of wildlife and and the wilderness, the indisputably best way to photograph the park is by booking a tour or workshop. Not only will you enjoy less interference from the hundreds of tourists, you'll have the expertise and experience of a professional to get you to the right place at the right time and provide advice for getting the shots.

We highly recommend the Yellowstone tour from RSL Photography. It's a full week's worth of guided photo sessions with plenty of time for relaxation and even group and one-on-one review and critique. Check it out now to book your 2016 tour while space is available!
