The holidays seem far away now, but maybe we can squeeze out the last holiday spirit by publishing the winners of the Monthly theme contest. 

Guest judge John Wilhelm has been 1x's own Santa, by selecting the winner who will be $250 richer. The rest of the positions have been decided by public voting. Congratulations everyone!

Judge's comments
This is my winner image. According to the photographer's description, this is one of santa's elfes who fell asleep during his job. For me the image symbolizes in a very simple and easy way, the negative side of christmas and holidays; the pressure and depression it can bring to certain people as well as the feeling of loneliness and sadness. I just love the freedom of interpretation and the idea in this one.

Perfect use of a wide angle lens. Lately I hear a lot about those holiday-holidays, that means celebrating Christmas on a cruiser. For me an absolute nightmare. And I like it to get confronted with my nightmares on images.
