The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers has announced the winners of its Spring into Action photography competition.
For this competition, submissions of images featuring bees, butterflies, birds, bugs, plants, animals–any type of nature and wildlife–were welcome.
David Watkins from Surrey, England was chosen as the winner from over 300 images entries.
David has won 12 months’ membership to The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers (SINWP) organisation.
David told the SINWP that the shot was taken on an estuary of the River Severn, just off the M5.
There are two runners up: Gareth Norman from Leicestershire and Gerald Leeper from the Perthshire. Both of them won six month memberships.
There were also 14 highly commended images, which can be found here.
