Recovered historical portraits of leading British cultural figures–including Damon Albarn, Dame Judi Dench, Daniel-Day Lewis, Kenneth Branagh, Ronnie Wood and Morrissey–will be exhibited in London next month.
The photographs, taken by The Douglas Brothers, were lost for over 20 years, and nearly lost forever, after being put into storage in a disused warehouse that was later demolished. Some have never been seen before. They will go on show for the first time this summer.
The Douglas Brothers, real-life siblings Stuart and Andrew, spent a decade photographing leading figures from the worlds of art, literature, film, music, sport and fashion. Now photos spanning the entire spectrum of this remarkable body of work will go on show at Art Bermondsey Project Space in London on 15 June 2017.
See/Saw runs from 15 to 25 June 2017 at Art Bermondsey Project Space, 183-185 Bermondsey Street, London, SE1 3UW, open Tuesday to Saturday: 11:00 to 18:00.
