Faerieland.
I wanted for my next shot, something ghostly & eerie.

I'd like to thank my best friend & model for this, Dasha, for being such a good sport & sitting in the most humid greenhouse heat of a space filled with seering sunbeams & fog. You may recognize her for her appearances in "Dust Bowl"
For this piece, my camera had to be shot on manual, just to focus through the actual amount of fog in there.

I'd also like to thank the designer Derya Aksoy for the beautiful custom butterfly bust piece around her neck (a costume which very much alludes to the next character as well as those shapely leaves fluttering away ;)

Lastly, I'd like to thank my beloved Eric who helped me pick up & continues to.

Other notes that I'm excited about & wanted to share tonight:

While the World Photography Organization's show is wrapping up with 2 of my self portraits in London, I've another show just about to open in London at a new gallery in the Notting Hill District, of which this piece will be a part. (!)

Lastly, for those in Korea, I have an 8 page feature on Faerieland in the latest issue of Photo + mag. I'm so honored & grateful that I was lucky enough to also receive their cover for the issue. (Picture on my instagram, though I may upload here a bit later :)
