I’ve been photographing the market regularly for more than ten years and although many things have changed in that time, there’s still plenty of evidence of the daily life that makes it a fascinating place to visit.

Keeping the small, rattan ball in the air without using hands requires plenty of acrobatic dexterity. Sometimes players form teams but often these casual games are simply about keeping the ball aloft for as long as possible.
