On 8 June 1946, London was illuminated to celebrate a year since VE Day. Anna Sparham, curator at the Museum of London, has unearthed a slew of forgotten photos documenting the celebrations, from illuminated Admiralty Arch, the Royal Naval College, and the Tower, to workmen checking the lights. These images are on display as part of the Museum of London’s London Nights exhibition, which runs until 11 November 2018.
