Earth Photo is an international photography competition and exhibition, developed jointly by Forestry Commission England and the Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers).
Earth Photo has four key themes, which aim to promote a better understanding of the world around us: people, nature, place, and change.
Shortlisted works will be exhibited at the Royal Geographical Society, London in summer 2018, before touring to Forestry Commission England locations including: Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest, Kent; Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire; and Grizedale Forest in the heart of the Lake District, Cumbria.
A range of prizes will be awarded including opportunities with Forestry Commission England and editorial coverage by the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) and inclusion in their world-renowned Picture Library. There are also four prizes for the dedicated subject categories, a Next Generation Award for outstanding emerging talent; and a Short Film Award.
Earth Photo is open to both national and international photographers of all ages. All entries must have been completed after 1 January 2016, meet the competition’s criteria as stated in its rules and guidelines, and be submitted online through earthphoto.artopps.co.uk by 17:00 (BST) on Monday 18 June 2018.
