One of the great privileges of working with NGOs is having the opportunity to document real world projects. In Kolkata and elsewhere, @splash_org provides clean water to schools. Clean water = better health = fewer missed schooldays = improved learning opportunities.
Having spent time with the enthusiastic students at several Kolkata High Schools, it’s immediately obvious how eager they are to learn. The education these girls receive could be the silver bullet that allows them to achieve their ambitions, despite the obstacles they face.
Having witnessed and been inspired by their energy and ambition, it seems obvious that the very least they should reasonably expect is a healthy environment in which to flourish. (at Kolkata)
