20 years ago, my life changed — I went to work for you, the photographic community.
The site's 20th anniversary was earlier this month. I know, I dropped the ball on this one. Didn't even create a special logo.
While this milestone has long been approaching, reviewing the latest cameras and lenses always seemed more important than preparing a site milestone post. Still, it seemed important to share that we, you and I, have been working together for 2 decades, and we should take a moment to celebrate our accomplishments.
What does the future look like? Camera manufacturers continue to innovate, and another 20 years seems doable. However, the revenue outlook is not bright, and the current trend is unhealthy.
Your primary role in making the last 20 years happen has been to provide the support necessary to fund the site. While I don't enjoy fundraising (or including ads on the site), ensuring adequate support to continue serving you is a necessary part of my job. The support page details how you can help, primarily by using the links on this site to make any purchase, sharing links to the site, providing direct support, and turning off ad blockers.
