In many ways, September feels like the busiest time of the year.  Work piles up after the summer holidays and the kids go back to school.

Time to wake them up early in the morning, to load up backpacks, to stock up on school supplies, to revise lessons, to prepare for new classes and to reconnect with old friends.

“Just a little homework” by John Wilhelm

Everybody has to go to school, but that doesn't mean that everybody's going to enjoy it.
Some feel excited and maybe a little sad that the summer is over.
Some feel nervous or a little scared on the first day of school because of all the new things: new teachers, new friends, and maybe even a new school.

Obviously, having a good education is important. It provides enlightenment and knowledge while helping shape our culture.  But it can be a hard transition going from the freedom of summer to the structure of being a full-time student.

When growing older, we realize how much school days are the best days of life.
I remember, as a kid I loved fresh school supplies, new outfits, the change of seasons, and the chance to crack open good smelling new text books ;-)

This fine 1x gallery shows school kids - small and tall - from all over the world.
Enjoy and remember: school rocks!!!
