“Something About Ghosts” by Paulo Abrantes

Street photography is raw, candid.  No studio lights, no make up artist, no attractive model unhappy to stay in one position for 4 hours ;-)

Street photography can generate a huge popularity or a deep sense of meaning by its emotional impact.

Some street photographs have everything.  Amazing tones, strong composition, several stories that all complement each other.  It is the kind of street photography that doesn't happen very often, but when it does, it feels tremendously good.

Popularity can be measured by several factors
-        popularity rating by the members curation
-        selection by the official 1x curators
-        1x sales
-        Social media

But some street photographs also have a deep sense of meaning.
They can be emotionally “fuelled” Art.

The emotional response the viewers get, outweighs the response provided by popularity.
The moments we identify with on the streets are often a representation of who we are and where we are in life.  An image that grips you emotionally, one that creates a deep meaningful reaction through your body and mind is an image that will last a lifetime.

I composed this fine gallery of street photographs by 1x members.
Some have a pure visual impact, some have a huge emotional impact, depends on how you “read” them, but all are of top quality.

Enjoy...
